Centaur is an online journal publishing hybrid stories. That means experimental writing that pushes beyond genre definitions—a story on top and a poem underneath; half memoir and half tale; a fable connected to a memory.
Centaur publishes quarterly in honor of the seasons: May 1, August 1, Nov. 1, and Feb. 1. Look for four to seven stories in each issue, as well as one original artwork or a photo.
Lynn Mundell is a San Francisco Bay Area writer and publisher. Her fiction chapbook Let Our Bodies Be Returned to Us was published by Yemassee in 2022. Lynn is co-founder and former co-editor of 100 Word Story, as well as co-editor of Nothing Short Of: Selected Tales from 100 Word Story (Outpost 19). She got the idea for Centaur exactly halfway through 2022, when her GPS stopped working somewhere between Northern and Southern California.
Adam Robinson runs the small press Publishing Genius and works as a publishing consultant.
